What is a replacement unit (swap unit)?

A replacement unit – also called a swap, exchange unit, "like-new" unit, or exchange device – is a device you receive as a permanent replacement for the one you sent in to us. This is not a loaner; it becomes your property.

Summary

A swap phone is a reliable, sustainable, and environmentally friendly alternative that gives you access to a "like-new" phone. At the same time, you help reduce waste, conserve natural resources, and lower your carbon footprint.

How does it work?

Elcare Nordic keeps a large number of different replacement units in stock, ready for fast delivery. This ensures that customers do not have to wait for their equipment to be repaired, which is particularly important, for example, in the case of mobile phone issues.

All our replacement units use only original parts and undergo thorough quality control to ensure high standards and reliability.

Our services

  • Normal Swap: You send us a defective device, and we replace it with a corresponding model.
  • Pre-Swap: We send you a replacement device in advance along with a return shipping label. You then send the defective device back to us.

What is a swap phone?

A swap phone is a used mobile phone that has been professionally refurbished and quality tested to ensure it functions and appears almost like new.

We only use devices graded Grade A+ or Grade A, meaning they look and perform almost like brand-new devices.

Benefits of swap phones:

  • Reduced electronic waste: By choosing a swap phone, the demand for new phone production decreases, resulting in less electronic waste.
  • Resource recycling: Refurbishment involves disassembly, cleaning, and replacement of defective parts, promoting the reuse of components.
  • Energy savings: Manufacturing new devices requires large amounts of energy and water. Reuse helps reduce this resource consumption.
  • Lower carbon emissions: By reusing existing devices, the emissions associated with new device production are reduced.
